Mr and Mrs P

If you ever want to see what it looks like when love, laughter, and pure unfiltered joy collide - this was the wedding. Their day combined their cultures and traditions, their values and beliefs, throughout every part of their day - they wanted to share with everyone exactly how they mean to go on through this marriage. You could tell from the start that these two didn't just want to marry each other, they wanted to make it clear they were willing to share every part of themselves with one another. This was the most beautiful way to combine their English and Polish lives together.

We started the day with a very relaxed bride getting ready at mum and dads home. Setting the tone for the day, Weronika relaxed in the morning sun whilst her hair and mua pampered and glammed her up. You could feel her excitement, which she could barely contain, and it definitely spread to every person who was around - every excited leg shake, quick smile to herself in the mirror, each passing glance to her mum as she waited patiently for her car to arrive. Before she had even seen her soon-to-be husband you could feel the amount of love this family carried. Her mum, so devoted to making sure she was meeting her daughters wishes, her dad, in awe of his daughter as he tried to keep out of the way but couldn't quite leave the room and miss anything.

These moments are always some of my favourites to capture - quiet, unhurried, honest. As the morning progresses, you find the awkwardness and anticipation slipping away as excitement and calm takes over. Weronika went from avoiding eye contact with the camera or posing immediately to forgetting what my job was and just chatting away - so excited to tell me all about her amazing husband, all the behind the scenes wedding day planning and how much everybody had accommodated her wishes to make her day special. We captured all of these beautiful candids whilst she focused on getting herself ready and making sure she was comfortable for the day - even getting the chance to listen to her parents favourite music whilst she had her final touch-up finished. She had time to let her dad help button her cardigan, to hold her mums hands and breath as her veil was put in, to take a look at herself in the mirror before she left. Each photo captures the moment she saw herself transition from not just a daughter but who she was to become - a wife.

Weronika wanted to meet her bridesmaids at the church - her plan was a grand reveal after a moments breath on her journey to the ceremony. What an entrance she made! Her bridesmaids were besotted by her as she stepped out of the car and revealed her look. Once she had her team beside her she was ready to take on her ceremony. With shaky hands and a heart full of anticipation they began the start of her happily ever after.

A ceremony made for these two commenced - Weronika's dad delivering her to Archie and once hand in hand you could see the two visibly relax. The Polish/English ceremony projected all the boundless affection these two have for one another with a background of pure support. I captured all their decorations and details, their guests pure reactions and the raw emotions coming from the couple without a glance my way -

clearly there was something more important to be watching.

Having pre-discussed with Weronika that informing her bridal and grooms party to organise guests into a confetti line post-ceremony, the two grabbed a moment together whilst this was set up and then were quickly able to hear their cheers of congratulations as they made their way through the crowd towards the car they hired to whisk them away to their reception venue. Weronika noted that this was her way of getting some alone time with Archie before spending her night celebrating with everyone they loved.

Their guests were transported to Goosedale for the reception in a London bus provided by the couple. Whilst they all found their place on the bus, the couple and I headed over to the venue. I managed to capture some amazed faces as they stepped off the bus to the charming venue Archie and Weronika had chosen - and also caught some portraits of the couple whilst they were alone.

Once they had greeted all their guests and were happy they knew what they were doing and where to grab a drink, we heading out into the grounds to capture some couple photographs. Weronika was very set on what she wanted when we had previously talked, but was worried about posing and feeling uncomfortable - we didn't have that problem on the day.

Goosedale had lovely fields overlooking the landscape which were tucked away from the rest of the guests, whilst Archie and Weronika walked, I snapped. We caught some beautiful photographs of the two of them caught in their own private moment. It wasn't hard to portray the love when it radiated off the two of them whenever they were together. Once they'd seen some of these photographs, they understood the process and were happy to just be alone together wherever I told them was an aesthetic backdrop. The sun came out to shine and they literally glowed in the setting sun together. Archie clearly adores Weronika and couldn't keep his eyes off her. This showed in every photograph. The photo's weren't staged, weren't directed - because when you love each other that much, and you are that happy, you can feel that in the photographs, you don't have to work for it. These were just portraits of the couple being a couple. Truly, hopelessly, endlessly in love with one another.

This moment gave the two a chance to just breathe and enjoy all they had achieved together, and once they'd done that, they wanted to share it. So we gathered the wedding party up and worked on recreating Weronika's dream group photos. The group photographs are always lots of fun because you get to see the couple being real and organic with people they trust and care about. Everyone brings the best out in each other, and you get to have a laugh, a cuddle, a joke as we capture some natural group photographs rather than the stiff smile and shoot traditional photographs. I love getting to see how the bridal party emanates endless love and care for the bride, while the groomsmen roast the groom with huge smiles on their faces. Every moment is embedded with the same devotion the couple have for one another.

With a bit of time for the formalities to be shrugged off and for the fun to clearly begin, the rest of their evening fell naturally into all the fun and excitement a wedding should be. I left the couple to do their thing - have a great time. My job from this point out is to just capture the whole vibe and events of the rest of the evening. I took a fly on the wall approach as I got to experience how these amazing families got along and shared all the evening events together. Capturing the little glances, the big laughs, the cuddles, the age old dance moves - everything that meant something to someone.

I would like to wish Weronika and Archie the greatest of luck to their future. They are such lovely people and there was clearly so much love in this relationship - best wishes x
